Junior Finance Officer

Job description

  • Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
    • Assist in budget preparation and management activities.

    • Assist in developing financial policies to ensure operational efficiency.

    • Ensure data integrity in all financial reporting.

  • Handle all types of multiple engagements such as Audit & Compliance: external & internal audit, company registration, bank reconciliation, NRB, ward Office, Income Tax/E-TDS/VAT filing or renewal, etc.

  • Work closely with internal and external Auditors to conduct quarterly/annual audits
    • Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps or variances.

    • Ensure that financial transactions are properly updated and recorded.

  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
    • Manage cash controls as well as maintain bookkeeping up-to-date.

    • Ensure maintenance of the general and subsidiary ledgers.

    • Track investments and maintain relevant cash reserves.

    • Ensure all expenses are within the assigned project budget.

    • Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, invoices, proposals, etc as required.

    • Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely.

  • Manage all accounting transactions, reconcile accounts payable and receivable
    • Manage the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, expense reports, etc.

    • Review financial paperwork and procedures and make appropriate changes.

  • Prepare employees SSF/PF/CIT Account as needed and reconcile of deposit

  • Ensure compliance with the legal and statutory financial requirements

  • Research on various financial reporting and practices

  • Visit statutory organizations to comply with the legal requirements

  • Providing consultations to employees of the company related to CIT/SSF/PF and any other accounting related queries.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field.

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

  • Excellence with Accounting Software(Tally,Rigo Accounting, Excel, Word etc )

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Nepali languages and prefer to have a proficient skill in Nepali typing

  • Ability to compile and prepare financial and budget data in-line with corporate rules and regulations

  • Skilled in managing and compiling financial data for reporting

  • Excellent computer skills as they relate to financial management

  • Ability to manage time well and to set and achieve performance and development goals

  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
